The Trim Haymaking Fesival

The Trim Haymaking Festival on Sunday 21st June is a fun family event promoting the cultural history of rural Ireland and Irish Heritage. The festival takes place in the Porchfields, right in the heart of Trim. The proceeds from the festival every year go towards helping local charities.

Trim Castle Tour

Few places in Ireland contain more medieval buildings than the heritage town of Trim. Trim Castle is foremost among those buildings.

In fact, the castle is the largest Anglo-Norman fortification in Ireland. Hugh de Lacy and his successors took 30 years to build it. You can visit the castle daily from 10am - 5pm.

''BUILD YOUR OWN CHEESE BOX BAR'' will be open at Platter By Lu over the Midsummer weekend on 20th & 21st from 10am to 3pm each day. A special bar dedicated to cheese lovers. Pop along to Platter By Lu and choose from a wonderful cheese selection, cheese biscuits, nuts, fruit and more and enjoy your cheese box as part of your picnic. So don't forget to pack your picnic blanket!

To entertain the younger members of the family a trip to the playground in Trim will definitely earn you brownie points. This well cared for, safe and clean playground is suitable for children of all ages and abilities. You will find the playground on Jonathan Swift Street.
